Tours of the Heritage Block

On occasion, HFS runs guided walking tours of the Heritage Block at Petty's Orchard:

• at our annual Grafting Day at the Petty's Orchard Heritage Block in August

• at our Apple Tasting events

• for first-time workshop attendees 

• on special request

Here's what you can expect if you come along for one of these tours:

• we point out the most interesting features of the block

• you will find out about how it was set out - and why

• an exploration of the collections of the various fruit types

• a chance to learn more about how HFS maintains and uses the block

• ... and any and all questions you might have will be thoughtfully answered!

These tours are a splendid opportunity to appreciate the unique beauty of the orchard and its setting, as well as the great work of our volunteers making and keeping it that way.
